WinXP Pro shutdown issue

    My Start --> Shutdown, only has the logoff option. Can this be restored with a policy change or a regedit?

    Hi and welcome to MajorGeeks.

    Do you have Admin privileges?

    If you do, it's in Control Panel, Administrative Tools, then Local Security Policy.

    Click on Local Policies, then User Rights Assignment and double-click on "Shutdown the System" and enable or disable your choices.


    If not, then contact your Admin.
