    Hi

What package speed do you pay for on Comcast? if its 2gb then I wouldnt change a thing but I can see that this is likely a typo and should be 2mbps, but a quick glance at what Comcast offer lowest is 4mbps.

Sadly depending on how far away from the WiFi router you are the lower the speeds do get, many factors such as walls, interfearence etc, but if you plug in your laptop via ethernet, what the speed your getting, can use http://www.speedtest.net/ to check this, do it varying times of day for an average, then test it just after each one on ethernet with WiFi and from various or your normal location of laptops homebase.

Check with Comcast that your connection has no issues, check to see if the Netgear model has a Firmware update, check to see if your Broadcom driver has an update, need to go to laptop makers Support site as always get drivers for laptops from maker, saves any incompatabilities.

    What Windows version you using?
