I need help trying to clean up a friends laptop with XP home edition on it. The orginal working wireless networking settings have changed, under "view all avaliable wireless networks" only one is listed is "Free public Wi-Fi", which won't connect if you try to connect, plus if I start up my own laptop, my list of avaliable wi fi networks shows 5 different wi fi networks avaliable or in range of my laptop. My laptop doses not show the "Free public wi-fi" network, I think this "Free public wi-fi" is some form of virus or malware? I have tried to clean or remove it with malware bytes, spybot, kaspersky antivirus, microsoft security essentials, and AVG and none of these listed finds anything? Anyone have any ideas on how to remove this? I have also tried system restore with no luck.

I figured it out thanks to Google, here is the link http://www.wlanbook.com/free-public-wifi-ssid/
I might add that above mentioned fix did not work until I turned off the wireless card, then turned it back on to clear out the settings, after I set wlan to connect to “Access point (infrastructure) networks only” :-D
