wireless networking w/ wirless pc card

just wondering if i could some how connect a wireless router to my desk top which uses a Verizon usb 720 wireless modem so i can surf in the living room on my laptop which has a wireless card built in. thank you in advance for anybody who may answer this post.

 

thanks Digitalocksmith i don't have a router where i live my internet options are very limited. i have a wireless pc card which i take with me for my laptop when i'm home i use it for my desktop. since i don't have a external modem i can plug into i was just wondering if theirs a way i could use both computer at once while i was home? my internet is through verizon the wireless pc card i have is a usb 720. if ya have any more questions ask thank you again.

 

I'm a little confused. You have a wireless card built into your computer (that I understand)
You connect by way of wireless in your living room VIA verizon wireless modem. Is this wireless modem a self contained unit like a air card.
If it is a air card you are speaking of then you cannot put a router behind it.
Please post back and clarify you home system setup, just to make sure I'm not giving you the wrong info

 

thanks buggabear no i have a desktop in a bedroom and i have a laptop which has a wireless card built into it. how i connect to the net is through a wirless pc card from verizon its a usb720 card. i want to plug my pc card into the desktop and add a router or something so my laptop can pick up the signal in the living room. hope that helps thanks again
