WMP9 album info

    Usually in WMP9, it displays the nice visualizations...sometimes it displays what the below pic shows; I dont want this album info, but cant find any documentation on how to disable it.
    Does anyone know?

    Unfortunately you caught me on the way to bed so I can't be real specific, but this info is kept in the form of metadata.

    Do a search on your hard disk for .asx files.

    Find one with the same name as your song, with the added .asx.

    Open it with notepad to edit it, or delete it to remove the data.

    It might be located in more than one place.

    WMP9 has a few options in the options menu to turn off some of the Auto Updates.... media information is one of those

    Tools > Options > Media Library and untick "Automatic media information updates for files"

    also same menus but now Privacy untick everything ;)
