My brother thought he needed to update his bios from the Compaq site for his 6025 RSH Compaq. He didn’t see were to save the current bios version. He downloaded the version that was there and now the computer will not boot at all. The error message is memory module larger than 512 MB is not supported. How can we get the original bios installed? Or fix this problem? The current memory is 1 Gig

The most obvious solution that comes to mind is to borrow a memory module 5123MB or smaller, install that, and then update the BIOS with the correct version.

Whops. I meant to say "512MB or smaller"
