Wsus Offline To The Rescue Again

Patch Tuesday and problems getting updates for Windows 7 (sound familiar?) again!

It seems the only way I can get Windows Updates for Windows 7 on Patch Tuesday is by using wsus offline update to get the process started. This time though, it took quite a while. But, when it was done I had 11 updates. I then ran Windows Update and got 5 more.

I wanted to update definitions for MSSE and downloaded the stand-alone installer from MG's and it wouldn't even launch! But after wsus, I ran the update function of MSSE and eventually got the definition update.

I wanted Win 7 on my 'puter so I could know what I'm doing if someone needed assistance. But, with the problems I'm having getting updates for it, I'm not so sure I want to keep it. Two days to get updates is ridiculous.
