    Hello Fellow Geeks,
I’ve been so busy; it’s been forever since I’ve posted. I hope you are all doing well. ;)

I have a problem. This began when I installed the software for my PalmOne Treo last night and happens every time I start Windoze and whenever I right-click on my desktop & go into Display Properties. The attached box (Internet Explorer cannot find the Active Desktop HTML file. This file is needed for your Active Desktop. To turn off Active Desktop, click OK.) pops up (twice!) & my monitor screen blinks (desktop wallpaper blinks off, then back on.) This still happens when I use a blank screen as my wallpaper.

Rundll32.exe is also running in my Task Manager; is this normal? If not, is it related, or another problem entirely?

I know there is probably a simple answer to this problem, but I just can't come up with it! A few months ago I switched to a wireless Dell Centrino Inspiron Laptop with “the works,” because I’m traveling frequently. I don’t know my way around this computer yet so I’ve attached an AIDA32 Personal report as well. Please help!?

    Much thanks in advance,

    Gina :)

    Update

Ok, I deleted some un-necessary apps, ran a system file check, cleaned up my registry & hard drive a bit... The "Active Desktop HTML file" error no longer appears when I start Windoze, but it does appear whenever I right-click on my desktop & go into Display settings... I just read on another forum that deleting the nvidia graphics driver helps with some problems but I'd like to hear from someone here first.

I did look at Event Viewer & there are many nview_info errors; they all say the same thing (capture attached.)

Is there a way to write my own HTML file & put it in a file so Internet Explorer will load it? If so, what should I type in the HTML, which text editor should I use, and what folder do I put it in?

Any help would be appreciated, and links are fine! I've ignored this type of "small problem" in the past & it escalated into something HUGE.

    Much Thanks in Advance,
    Gina :)
