xbox 360 core system puzzle

    hi i am going to be buying an xbox 360 core system, and was wondering if i should get one with a hard drive, the point is i have a pc and this is where i store all my music, videos etc, i would have no interest in storing them on my xbox, however i do wish to take my xbox online with xbox live, is this still possible without the harddrive? pretty confused lol
