Dealing with issues moves me to be disabling startups with CCleaner
    noticed: xInsIDE.exe running
    read stuff online
checked BIOS: my SATA Control is on IDE not AHCI

(originally ordered a RAID configuration to mirror my two 1 TB HDs, but company failed to enable RAID. I can't now - not interested in reinstalling Windows.)

Of course I want everything to run faster.
I don't want to kill computer

    QUESTIONS
If AHCI is faster than IDE, can I just change that in the BIOS setting, or will that kill my 'puter?
If I can't switch to AHCI, can I disable xInsIDE.exe with CCleaner, or will that kill my 'puter?

Like everyone, I don't want to be too courageous and change one little setting only to find myself with yet another three-day project on my hands.

I've attached a screen shot. Feel free to offer any tweaks that you might notice

    TIA DrCarl

    I now also see "MarvellTray.exe" that's enabled.
It lives in C:\Prog files (x86)\Marvell\raid\tray\MarvellTray.exe

Since I see RAID in the folder name, might I kill, er, disable this?

I use the AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series graphics card I added, and I think the Marvell file came with the motherboard...might this be yet another reason to disable it?

    TIA
