xp, how to shrink movie file size

I need something that can shrink some movie files down. I used a program to record pc gameplay but its too big. is there anything that can shrink it?

 

You can try using Dr DivX. It has an option where you can select custom file sizes, or you can use the custom sizes provided, or use the balanced conversion. Keep in mind, if you try to go too small, the quality will suffer, or it simply will not convert. Dr DivX converts many different formats to .DIVX files that will play with just about any media player with the DivX codec installed.

BTW- you need the DivX codec installed in order to convert files with Dr DivX. It is included in just about every codec pack, or can be downloaded on it's own from this link.
