    In XP, are the monitor settings profile specific or hardware specific?

    Thank you,

    Assuming you are talking about wallpapers etc then the are profile specific

    Thanks. Howabout hibernate and standby settings?

    What I'm seeing is that I can change the above on my profile, yet someone else will log in to different settings which they did not adjust.

    That is, in my profile, I changed my Turn Monitor Off After to "never"
    Jane's is still set to "after 20 minutes". She did not change anything.

    I think Hibernate and Power Saveing are part of the screensaver section settings and are therefore probably profile specific. You might be able to overide it with the group policiy settings though.

    Start --> Run [gpedit.msc]

    I'm not finding an option there.

    Thanks, again.
