Does anybody know the end date for Microsoft's support of XP Service Pack 3??

    Is it April, 2014??

    Thanks

    Hi

Service Packs are generally listed as end of support 24 months after the release of the Service Pack and as SP3 was back in 2008 then its passed that date, main info HERE so Mainstream support has ended.

However I do know this is extended (extended support) until 2014 (April 8th if memory serves) as XP is popular still, so its in an extended support lifecycle and will gain mainly security updates only and the odd other. Info HERE

Thank you. I should have re-worded my question. I was aware of those policies, but what is confusing is the "extended support." I read in a note someplace that "extended support" is only available for commercial users. Does that mean that home users aren't entitled?? I'm not currently on my home computer, but I believe I am still receiving updates.

Extended support means that XP SP3 will continue to receive updates. It does not matter if it is a home user or a business.
