XP starts in safe mode starts and reboots

    Hi Everyone, I have an HP with P4 166 with 256mb running XP. Turning on the machine it goes straight to safe mode and no matter what I select it seems to boot then shuts down and starts up on it's own back to safe mode. Any thoughts that might help?

    Is it complaining about not being "Activated" ?
    Do you have any errors in the Event Log ?
