My laptop is acting funny and I have found out that I have XP Total Security 2011. I've run a full system scan on the highest settings with Avast! and have tried closing the processes and deleting files associated with the virus. If I try deleting the offending files (put them in recycling bin), it says it can't find rundll32.exe and asks what program I want to run any executables with.
I can't open regedit.exe, msconfig.exe or any program in Control Panel. The virus isn't letting her use IE or Firefox in normal mode.
I'm currently in safe mode with networking and have run MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware. The logs are attached.
I have no idea what to do from here. Help please? :confused

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. Make sure you fix what is found by Malwarebytes this time. You previous log shows that you took no action.

Just realised that last time I was on my laptop I used a different user to the one the virus is on. I just logged onto my usual user and couldn't run anything, even in Safe Mode. It pops up asking what program I want to open any .exe files with. So I can't do anything in the malware removal guide.
I am now back on the Admin user instead of my user so I can talk to you guys.

    Thank you TimW!

Please find attached all the needed logs. I would have uploaded MBAM's log but nothing was found and there was no more room

In the early instructions of the READ & RUN ME FIRST we stated you must not have multiple antivirus programs installed. You have both Avast and F-Secure installed. You must uninstall one of these immediately and then reboot.

Also from step 3 of the READ & RUN ME FIRST, you need to uninstall the below old Sun Java versions and then update to the current version:
    Java(TM) 6 Update 16
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6

What malware problems are you currently having? The logs you attached are clean.
