Yahoo News Feed

I have put ad blockers in but they do not block the news feed-is ther a way to stop the news feed in yahoo mail. I'm using google chrome in windows 10

 

First a disclaimer: I don't use chrome on any Windows computers and I don't run Windows 10.

In Palemoon on Windows 7, I have AdBlockPlus working and I opened it and added from the blockable items list.
Left column is ###newsfeed-opener
Right column is mail.yahoo.com###newsfeed-opener

 

I have this program and put in the newsfeed opener but it is still coming in . I don't see anywhere where you can put it in for the left column. Can you tell me how to do that .

 

Sorry, I did this so long ago that I don't remember.

Open AdBlockPlus when you are on the Yahoo mail page and select Open Blockable Items. Scroll down until you see anything with newsfeed in it. (look in the right column)

Right click on the item in the address field (left column) and select, block this.
I think it adds the left and right sections to the block list.

Great. Yahoo keeps adding all these useless things I keep having to block and should be spending time figuring out how to block the ever increasing amount of spam!

If you don't have these in your list make sure you get them.

I use all of these Pop-up Controller will block tab's from randomly opening but if you need to view some thing disable it real quick.

 

The OP is using chrome, not FF. I'm using Palemoon, not FF.
