Hello everyone!! How is it going? Long time no see.. I guess I haven't messed up my computer in a while, lol.

I have got a little problem, my laptop dell inspiron 4100 was completely shut down for over 2 months because It needed a charger I have just got.. when I turned it on I had to go F2 because the time and right date had not been kept. Everything seemed to work ok, except for downloads, when I try to download anything IE displays the following error:

    You should read these:

    http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E403.html

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245142/en-us

If you suspect malware problems, you will need to follow the directions below.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

    Hello there!
Thanks for the advice, I ran ccleaner and hi-jack, attached is the log. The rest I couldn't run because I COULD NOT download anything, it keeps saying that I have no access.
    Thanks

UPDATE!! If running my computer on safe mode with networking options I can download, it has to do something with my zone alarm antivirus/firewall or my IE settings. Any ideas?

I disabled my zone alarm and I have no problems, I don't know why it is preventing me from downloading. I guess I am going to have to figure it out!
    Thanks for your help.

I had to uninstall zone alarm because their tech support could not tell me what was wrong. It works like a charm now.
I didn't think I had spyware problems, I run scans after I am done surfing.
    I worry all the time.
    Thanks!!
