Zedo popup virus --hellllp!!!!

    Hello All,
    My deskyop PC has been infected!:cry
    While I am on the internet , I keep getting popups to different websites , 1 being ZEDO.com amongst others.
    I have tried to cure the issue using Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG with no results.
    I am running XP and I notice that on Yahoo that any link I click on fom their page will not connect!!! Very very strange as I have use Yahoo for news and email for years! I can not get into my Yahoo email since the PC have been infected! :cry
    Any assistance on my fustrating situation is truely appreciated!

    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.


    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

    Hi Tim,
    My PC has the virus , I am communicating here on this forum using my laptop.
    I was in the process of using your instructions when I tried to download the SuperAntispyware program I could not log onto Majorgeeks.com with my PC.
    It will not link to any websites at this point:cry I have tried to use Google to get to the Majorgeeks site for the downloads , but Google will not connect:cry
    Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllppppppppppppppppppp!!!!!

    Hi Tim,
    When I restart the PC I get Error message:
    Error Loading C:\WINNT\system32\syfkklgx.dll
    The specified module could not be found.
    When I click OK , the error message is gone and I am at my normal desktop screen.
    Just more info for you to use in this specific case of mine.

    You need to follow the instructions given....and attach the logs. You can use SAS to fix your internet problem.....but I need all the requested logs to help you.
