Zone Alarm free Opens TCP ports??

How do I open TCP ports in this software.I do not see a place

 

To manage ports you make a rule. To do this, open control panel, go to firewall, click expert tab, in bottom pane click "add" and adjust wizard to your specs.

 

Using Expert Rules is not an ideal way, and it's not designed for that.

They use IP address and packets to enforce the rule, so if that changes, it won't work.


In Firewall, on the Main tab, click Custom in the Internet Security Zone.

Tick which port you want, and add the number at the bottom then apply.

I do not have a custom tab under firewall main tab.Is this only in Zone alarm Pro.I have the free version and have looked everywhere.I just dont see a -place to open ports

 

Must be only in Pro. That's what I have and always used.

Not sure if you can in the free version as I've never used it. (I don't think you can, but I don't have the free one to check)


Do you specifically need to open a port, or do you just have a program that isn't working properly?

 

Have to open a spec port.

As I said, I don't think the free version has that, but I don't use it.

Pro does, or maybe another firewall will give you that option?
