ZoneAlarm Firewall + Router Firewall

Hi my router has a firewall and i've installed zonealarm firewall as well because my local area connection icon in my taskbar was continously lit up even when I was not surfing the internet or downloading or running any programs that were accessing the internet. My question is am I safe now and is it ok if both of these firewalls run side by side because I know two software firewalls are not a good idea. Thanks in advance.

 

Yes it is a good thing.

However make sure that you switch off Windows Native Firewall.
