Where Would You Time-travel, If It Were Possible?

What would you want to see and why?

Would you change anything? Likewise, do you believe in time-travel paradox, and if so does it affect your answer at all?

Ancient Egypt to see the Pyramids being built.

I would like to see that too. In 2013 in the Egyptian desert, a few miles inland from the Red Sea, papyri written in hieroglyphics and hieratic from 4,600 years ago written by men who participated in the building of the Great Pyramid were discovered. Thye show a massive shipping, mining and farming economy was created to source goods from one end of Egypt to the other to get it built. It's fascinating.

I don't know if I can pick just one thing I would like to see. I have soooooo much curiosity. But I think I might go back to my youth and tell myself "Kevin's are bad" and see how I screwed up my life differently...

I would go back to the time when a OS would run correctly.giggles.

I think I would like to relive some of my early life. Correct some of the dumb mistakes I made.

Moon landing on TV in '63. Also, could I possibly be in orbit just before the asteroid hits in the Yucatan?

We’d discover whether the Pyramids required ramps to move the stones or other means.
The builders’ tombs were found close to the Great Pyramid so they weren’t built by slaves as people seem to continually suggest.

Well, we've got pictures. Fancifully enough, for large pyramids just add water...

Thanks, I’m wondering how they moved the stones up to the Pyramid after the first base layer was set - did they use ramps or something else. It is this which has never been answered afaik.

I think it's fascinating that we think they couldn't do xyz things because it was so long ago, but there's evidence that there were several forms of pretty advanced technology that were lost in time with the burning of Alexandria and the Dark Ages. I think I would go back and see all of it, to see how it was different than our understanding of it all.

Yes, I feel the library at Alexandria would’ve answered a lot of questions had there not been a fire.

I'd prevent Capcom in the year 2019 from starting their run of horrible Resident Evil remakes. :D

Yep. Milking that cash cow again.

And Hollywood is just as bad.

As H.G Wells once said, “Scientific people know very well that Time is only a kind of Space. And why cannot we move in Time as we move about in the other dimensions of Space?”
In Einstein’s theory, space and time are related to each other which then begs the question.....Will it one day be possible?
We know we can send information back, but only to a point in time when we began operating the device. Would a time-machine be the same?

If given the technology, I guess that I would like to travel back and re-write some of my regrets, learn from my past mistakes, witness historical events firsthand but most of all, I would dearly love to revisit loved ones who are no longer with me and are very sorely missed. :)

For this you would need to become a Traveler (From Star Trek The Next Genereation)

Time travel destination would be Athens - Ancient Greece and take in orators Pericles and Demosthenes. Another must go, would be Egypt during the building of the pyramids spanning a couple of decades. Gosh...so many places I'd want to visit.

Time travel? - I'm open to the possibility.
Change has a rippling effect. I'm not sure I'd be game enought to change anything in Time Travel which I expect would change everyone's future...and who knows if I would exist now if changes were made!

How about traveling forward, to see what's come of our screw-ups? But, if I'm restricted to the past, first I'd go back and cuff my younger self upside the head and say 'smarten the f*** up'. Second would be 1st Century Judea, hoping to find someone who actually knew Him.

I think I would try going forward in time to check out the new technology, or if humans still dominated the Earth etc.

I have a feeling that the total collapse of technology could happen. On the other hand, if it didn't, how crazy of a world would it be?

    All about Sci Fi...

Hopefully, we'll reach somewhat of a likeness to Gene Rodenberry's dream of the future. The problem is, you still have dessenters. Beings that are unwilling to live in peace and that hunger for power.

I think with the way it's going, that's highly unlikely. More likely we're heading for a Mad Max future, if nothing changes.

I would LIKE to see a Rodenberry-esque future.

I guess going forward, instead of back, we'd get to see which we got. If we completely F'ed it up or not. I kinda don't want to know.

If you go back in time, you'll need all your shots and medicine as it was unsanitary way back then.
