Question about Oblivion!

Just one quick question that i've been wondering... how do you equip a certain spell to your weapon like a blade? For example, i've been wondering how to equip a spell like flare to a blade. Can anyone help?

I think you can just use an Alter of Enchanting, either by joining (and completing?) the Mage's Guild, or through a mod, or maybe another place I'm not remembering.

Thanks, i just found out recently about the altar of enchantment, but... it's almost like there's another way to do it...

The only other way, is to compile your own "mod". Using the TES:CS ( The Elder Scrolls Construction Set ) you can create "modded" content that can be loaded into your game. If this is what you mean, you could start here.

Well, the only other way I can think of affecting weapons is by making and using poisonous potions. Of course, this doesn't work for a lot of spell effects.

There are three ways you can enchant your stuff.

1. Complete all the recommendation quests in the Mages Guild. You will have to do a quest for each guild hall in each city. Once you have done that you will have access to the Arcane University and be able to use the altar of enchanting.

2. If you have the Wizard's Tower DLC(Frostacrag Spire) you can buy the magetallow candles from the woman in the Imperial City(The quest log will tell you how to find her) and adding those to the altar of enchanting to be able to use it.

3. If you are playing on pc you can just use the console.
Type:

showenchantment

and press enter

Edit: Don't forget you will need a filled soul gem, the ability to cats the spell you wish to use for the enchantment(i.e. if you want to add fire damage to your sword you will need a fire damage spell you are able to cast) and also a bunch of money.
