gregor, how many times did you try before it worked?? I made sure I had the current flash player , thanks for that info.
satrow- I followed instructions to be sure I had the current player installed... still cannot view these videos, it reads: "selected item not currently avail" !!! Yet, you got it just fine! This is making me crazy...any other suggestions??? |

it worked the first time i tried it. try going to System Preferences / flash Player, click the advanced tab, under the Browsing Data and Settings, click on the delete all, this will clear the cache / cookie of adobe flash player, see if that helps.

gregor- no difference. :-( Same problem...
satrow- feeling intimidated by doing so, my mac knowledge etc. is limited. may have to show this to my son when he visits, he's much more knowledgeable than I, he's on a computer all day at work. thanks for the tip...I'm stubborn to the fact that if gregor has no problem, neither should I....??? |

this is when 2nd / 3rd / 4th options can be handy...
there are many different browsers to try... opera would be a great one to test the site with. as well as firefox, seamonkey, camino, chrome, and omniweb. i would suggest opera since the underlying code for opera is different than the "mozilla family" of browsers and the apple family of browsers.... the other thought to entertain is... will safari play flash content on other sites? or just Dr. Oz? if you go to a site like flixxy do the flash videos play? or are they blocked too? if no flash videos play anywhere you go, then you have a problem with the flash player itself. right clicking on a flash video should get you to the preferences and the settings of the flash player itself. if it is just safari, check the security settings in the preferences to make sure nothing is unchecked. sometimes addons for safari, like videobox [ which is pretty cool ] , will prevent safari from operating as expected if you update safari and not the addons. for me, safari has always been flaky when it comes to flash, so i have never really used safari for any sort of general browsing. i'm not certain about safari, but it is also possible to block content from certain websites of your choosing.... and that can be easy enough to do by accident, so you would have to poke around the advanced settings and the privacy settings to make sure nothing from that particular website is being blocked. not sure what else to suggest. good luck with it. toodles, harmless ![]() |

OK, I think the problem is you need thePlatform PDK coding and the flash player for that site to play The Dr. Oz Show. I have VLC installed that will play that coding give it a try follow the link below.

Have you found an answer. I have this same problem. I think it is due to Hughes Satellite Internet Provider???? Do you have satellite service??? I am asking Smart Computing Magazine - hope they have an answer.
