Hi I am thinking about buying a refurbished mac book. I have never owned a mac before so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I should look for and what to avoid.
What I will be using it for: Internet YouTube gmail basic word documents and excel something that I can give a basic presentation with (PowerPoint) built-in webcam a video card that is compatible with Sims 3 (this is the only game I play) Thanks in advance for any advice. |

Any Intel based MacBook will do. Stay way from real old ones, like the iBooks with PowerPC processors, they are just too old and can be pretty slow. Minimum processor would be an Intel Core 2 Duo. I also recommend getting a refurbished one from the Apple Store, that way you will have a 1 year warranty.
Good luck! |
