Good News for Me
Alas, I finally finished my degree in May of this year and since moved from my old stomping grounds of Oswego NY to downstate NY. I was looking for a job for months, finally two weeks ago I got a call back. Went to an interview arranged by a staffing company last thursday, and ended up spending 4 hours there doing a total of three interviews. Later that night they called my staffer at home to offer me the job.
So, sensing the opportunity to try to get more money due to thier swift responce I told him I wanted more than the offer. Now I start next week, with a 13.5% increase in salary, and free parking. Free parking for most people probably isn't an issue, but for anyone working in or around NYC it is very valuable! So I'm finally amongst the ranks of the employed, and at a significantly higher salary than 99% of the entry level people in my field.

Good for you Bro! It's good to hear some good news. Way to go, and congrats to you.
And BTW, parking is sure a big deal in Chicago, so kudos to you for that.

The only parking issue in Memphis is getting your car stolen or broken into.

Yeah I hope I love it too. Its a pretty killer commute for me, but I don't really mind it now. But then again, me and the wife are already making plans on moving about half way there.
Luckily, I'm going to one of the "safer" areas and car thefts and breakins are pretty infrequent. Plus I will be parking in a lot controled by the MTA which has its own police force on site at all times, if some thief is dumb enough to try to steal a car and then drive out through the guard post I'd be suprised.
