Overclocking Safe?

hey im totaly new to the "hardware" side of PCs, and was wondering if its safe to overclock?

whats the worst that could happen trying to attempt it?

would you need extra cooling?

can you overclock to much? i assume you can..

definately need a cpu cooler , no retail cooler. (+- 40 $)

then you need some special paste: liquid silver called = arctic silver 5 (7$)

some extra fans in front and in back (best 12mm to keep the noice down)

and that would be a good base (not the best imho) for starting to overclock

I think you mean 120mm 12mm would be an extrermly small fan, lol!

Read the sticky at the top, it tells you a lot you need to know about overclocking.
