Installed new hard drive
Installed a new hard drive and now my modem is acting up
I know enouph to be dangerous to myself I ran a scan and it said that the software was not compatible with my modem The scan tool i ran was System Mechanic 6 Help this computer dummy PLEASE Thanks Lowboy

Have you tried updating the drivers for the modem? Did your modem come with a disc? What type of modem is it? Is it a clean install of Windows?

Lowboy either download EVEREST and obtain some more informative specs or goto your device manager and obtain the specs there:

Device Manager (XP): right clik My Comp > Properties > Hardware (tab) > Device Manager > Modem (expand +) > left clik on Modem You will get all the info you need from here!!!!
