Question Any Now How To Put One Display On Two Monitors?

Alrighty then ... at ease men I have these two monitors hooked up with winXP running. I see how to get both monitors on and working where the mouse can go back and forth, by going into display properties, but how the heck do I get one big display on the two monitors? I've seen images of what I want but no instructions on how to do it. That's why I am calling out for someone out here that has the set up I want and can tell me how to get the one display on the two monitors. Thank you for reading my post.
