Question wireless manager finds lots of networks but NOT mine?!

I have just installed puppy linux on an old pc.
I have have tried connecting to the internet using a belkin wireless dongle.... when it scans for available networks it shows a 5 or 6 but none of them are mine.

The belkin dongle connected the pc to my network when I was using windows xp but now puppy linux just wont pick my wifi network up.

Can anybody help please????

Have you turned off "Broadcast SSID" in the router?

I just went through the same problem with my laptop (running Ubuntu 10.04, but it may be similar), and this may help;

Hi Dan!

Did your fix work from the forum you mentioned or the Orange Side Help Page? Puppy 5.0 is now based on Ubuntu 10.04 so this should work.

https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/intern...-wireless.html

My HP did not connect because the automagic button was orange instead of blue (internal wireless). It appears inks is attempting a dongle.
