I have a netbook and a laptop that both need new hard drives. I was wondering if I could just run down to best buy and see if they have a new hd for the laptop and the netbook. Or would I need to go to the manufactures website and get a specific make and model? Im only asking because id rather not have to order it and wait and kind of just want to run down and get them both today at the store.

Best Buy or any electronics place will work, but make sure you have all the specifics for your drive, so they can match one up for you. (or pick out one yourself)
I've been checking Newegg prices vs. Best Buy and some of the prices are equal, without having to add on shipping. They seem to be trying to compete price-wise with online stores. That surprised me and I have bought a few things there lately, without having to wait on UPS. Stay away from the Geek Squad, though. They are worse than zombies!!!!
