Hi. I'm helping a friend with a virus on her Latitude D810 (XP-Pro SP3). It appears that what she had/has is Smart HDD.
Following posts I viewed, I ran the following: > Unhide, Rkill, MBAM, and TDSSKiller (this last one wouldn't run at first, so I ran FixTDSS first, and then I was able to run the Killer). Attached are logs, including MGTools. Things appear pretty normal now, but a few things I've noticed: > Smart_HDD icon on desktop and on task bar (where Quick Launch would normally be) > Quick Launch Toolbar is enabled, but none of the normal icons are showing. What do you recommend? Thanks for your help. |
