I know you said everything is up to date but this sounds like a flash player problem.
Windows 7 is without any doubt the best that microsoft have produced,it is user friendly and very stable. I realize that some die hard XP users will say otherwise but it will not be long now before XP is finished with support so the obvious step is to get to grips with 7. For regular videos i use VLC player as a personal favorite. You can get the Adobe flash player de-bugger here. http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

this is sad because I am just starting to like windows 7
![]() guess with proper maintenance, you're windows 7 will be back to normal in no time. I suggest the following: 1. perform windows update: 2. scan and clean you computer with your favorite antivirus, make sure it is updated. 3. scan clean with malwarebytes. 4. scan, clean and tweak your computer with ccleaner. 5. update your devices drivers. guess that will do it. good luck |

I recently had some Flash problems, found some good advice at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash
Basically, there have been problems with version 11.3, some folks are reverting to a previous version, some are disabling Protected mode. All the official details and "How Tos" are right there, straight from the horses mouth... I rolled back, then upgraded back to 11.3 and killed protected mode. worked for me, your mileage may vary...

That means everything is out of date. Windows 7 is three years old, SP1 was released two years ago. Do you really think you have up-to-date device drivers?
I do not generally advocate updating device drivers, but the new Flash Player versions (11.x) depend on the latest graphics drivers. |

Agree with what's been said nothing to do with win 7.
I would also assume a flash problem if it's only flash video's. If not you need to to find out exactly what is causing the problem, possible culprits are flash player, internet browser, media player, codec problem, video card driver problem. By using multiple versions of each you can narrow down the problem, also use download helper plugin for firefox and download the video to your desktop then play in various media players. If no video's at all work in any player or browser in win 7 as your hinting at I would assume video card drive problem. Try this- http://www.pixelmetrics.com/Tips/Vid...ediaPlayer.php

Every thing run's perfect in Xp i do not know what the issue was i deleted Windows 7.
It was a Fresh clean install with its own HD. I had all of the latest drivers as far as i know. I do not think it was a flash player issue. But i could be wrong.I had the latest Flash on Xp as well. When i would try to play videos in WMP or VLC or Winamp. No Video would not work. But i would get audio but no video. And yes i did have codec packs. http://majorgeeks.com/CCCP_Combined_...ack_d6093.html I never had issues with it be for.I runs perfectly fine in Xp with out a issue. I have zero issue with my video card 1023MB GeForce GTX 550 Ti (EVGA).

Windows 7 is pretty bombproof but if issues are in codecs they is your hardware all Windows 7 compatible as in no drivers needed fudging with Win Vista or other drivers?
Only one codec pack is installed? Is Win 7 fully upto date, update wise? You mentioned in the last few weeks or so no video, so had it been working ok before a few weeks back in Windows 7? if so you likely have a 3rd party application thats causing this, so clean boot or safe mode boot and check with normal rules on troubleshooting startups. Did you install any new application that is media based as in video, music, graphics just before this appeared and if so what app?

I suspect, based on the many posts all over the web about it, that Flash 11.3 is seriously flawed. Apparently the issues can spring out of nowhere apparently, and may be tied to interactions with several pieces of software across the spectrum of app type.
Until Adobe issues a new version correcting this, a rollback and or disabling Protected Mode seems to be what is most effective. Of course, yur mileage may vary...

The OP should check out the links and try out the given solutions there. If he does these and still has problems then he should uninstall the newest Adobe Flash Player version with their uninstall tool and as you mentioned, install the previous version. In addition the OP didn't state which browser he is using that he's having problems with and/or he encounters the same problem in IE.
