Water Spouts in West Michigan

We don't get weather, on Lake Michigan's coast, like they get, even just 20 miles inland.
We get pounded by lake effect snow, in the winter, but in the summer, those huge thunderstorm cells, cool, as the come across the lake, then fire back up, as they suck warm air, again. We usually get missed by the big ones.
But because of the micro climate, we get some cool weather, at times.
Check out this video from yesterday. 30 miles south of me. I watched thunderheads, building out of thin air yesterday, they were forming anvil tops. It was clear to our northwest, over the lake, but thunderheads, were blowing up, as that air mass came ashore. Awesome.

They are.
It's like when Helen Hunt got mesmerized, by the tornado in Twister.
Those things are just plain cool.

I am a finalist for a consulting project in western Oklahoma.

If it goes through, I may sign up for a storm chasing tour (with an experienced meteorologist along for safety) if the weather and my days off line up correctly.

Cool. That would be interesting. The day those water spouts happened, I was watching thunderheads, blowing up, out of clear skies. Part of what I was watching, must have been what spawned the spouts.
They were blowing up into big anvil tops.
And one was producing rotation (according to reports) , as it moved further inland. No tornado from it though.
