Question winetricks will open but not run: I need core fonts.

Hello linux geeks:

Having trouble with wine tricks. I have tried installing wine 1.3.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.52 and 1.59 All of them work. However, when I open wine tricks and select a choice, it just closes and does nothing.

What I really want to do is install core fonts into wine so that Kindle will work.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you for your time.

Pete

Are you simply wanting to read Kindle for the PC? I simply use the Chrome Kindle Cloud app.

What version Linux do you use?

winetricks sounds corrupted, somehow. I would uninstall winetricks and reinstall winetricks.

Also along BOOMM's suggestion, Calibre is a WONDERFUL program for storing, managing, and yes....even reading...E-books! And it's in most repositories, FWIW...
