Mac and javascript

Hey all. Once again I'm having a problem with my old Imac with OS9.2.2. I'm trying to download something from the net, and I've never ad a problem with this before, but now the website is saying I need to enable Javascript. I'm not such a noob that I don't know how to do so, and when I checked, it was very much enabled. I've tried disabling and enabling again, but it's not working. Please help!
