Default I need your help upgrading my PC!

Hello there

I'm looking to upgrade my pc, I've looked on a number of forums but you guys seem to know what your talking about the most. my current system is ok but having games like dark messiah might and magic on full resolution and settings for eye candy rapes my computer. I'm looking to build a computer capable of all upcoming games! BAR GFX Card. I'm going to wait for the DX10 graphics cards but for the moment im looking to upgrade my cpu, motherboard and ive been looking around and it looks like i'll have to upgrade my memory do ddr2!

My current system is:

AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego £110
XFX Geforce 7800GTX 256mb £330
G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 CAS2 Dual Channel Kit £165
150GB Western Digital 10000RPM 16MB Cache Raptor X £180
200GB SATA 150 Maxtor 8MB Cache Hard Drive £65
Abit Fatal1ty AN8, nForce4 Skt 939 £90
Hiper Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU - Blue £65
Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic £90

Ignore the prices i've just copied and pasted that

For the cpu I've already chosen it myself, i've looked around on loads of reviews etc and the e6600 seems the best for me

I have no idea about intel motherboards, ive never had an intel before ive always been an AMD person myself!!

hope you can help, thankyou!
