What is Incredibar?

Hey, guys! Do you have some idea if Incredibar is a computer virus or a legitimate toolbar? I have doubts about the legitimacy of this application, because it only looks like a trustworthy application. after this tool entered my PC, its name appears on top of all my searches and it is very annoying.

If you can help me, please let me know. I really want to remove this program.

Please download OTL by OldTimer.

• Save it to your desktop.
• Right mouse click on the OTL icon on your desktop and select Run as Administrator
• Check the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
• Check the "Standard Output".
• Change the setting of "Drivers" and "Services" to "All"
• Copy the text in the code box below and paste it into the text-field.

  activex
  netsvcs
  

• Now click the button.
• Two reports will be created:
  • OTL.txt <-- Will be opened
  • Extras.txt <-- Will be minimized
• Attach OTL.txt and Extras.txt to your next message. (How to attach)

 

Thisisu, thanks! In fact I tried several other ways to get rid of this intruder, but in vain! I tried this link http://www.americanpendulum.com/2012/01/11/incredibar-removal-instructions/ and also I scanned my system using this tool http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/, but the application was still there. however, your steps helped me to remove the tool and now everything is fine again!

Scanning with OTL alone wouldn't solve anything as it requires manual fixes afterwards but I am glad to hear you got it sorted out.
