3.0 ghz mildly overclocked to 3.1 ghz, stock heatsink and fan, running at 106f according to everest. According to my fan control it's running at 119f. I cleaned up the heatsink and chip and applied a small amount of AS5. This got the temp stable but it's still too high. This is not in that warm an environment, and it has a 120 mm from the front, an 80mm blow hole fan, and the PSU is vented and has a 90mm fan. Should I get a new heatsink and fan, Or put another vent fan on the back of the case?

119f isn't too hot for a p4, you could try a thermalright 90c cooler and if you're that worried about it, stop overclocking.

    What motherboard do you have?

I did drop the overclock, now and that dropped it about 7 degrees. I have an Asus p4-800sx.

I ordered two new case fans and a new thermaltake heatsink/fan.

prescott cores (thats what p4s are) tend to run around 40-50c idle, dont use farenheit. As long as its below 70 or 80 degrees celsius on a full load (ex right after an intense gaming session) then ur alright
