Recently I decided to remove all things Yahoo from my pc. Plus I cleaned up afterwards with CCleaner issues fixing. I also identified several Yahoo items in regedit and deleted them with no subsequent problems. I understand how careful one must be in regedit but deemed it ok to delete them. My question is, when removing certain programs from a pc, is it okay for a reasonably savvy user to go into regedit and remove easily identifiable items related to the removed program? Or would MG recommend recommend against this.

Yes if you feel confident in doing so, but I would advise backing up any keys you are iffy/not 100% about, just in case.

All you have to remmber is delete the wrong thing and its re-install time.
