fat 32 orntfs

    which is the best format fat 32 or ntfs?on hard ware.

    ntfs is afaik faster and generally better than fat. if you have the choice, go for ntfs. i would only use fat32 if i were using linux on the same machine

    :confused: :p

    Use NTFS, it's faster. FAT32 is used for floppies now.

    Correct, for any NT based operating system, NTFS, older operating systems like Windows 98 you can use FAT. Resolved.

    I've been using NTFS since the days of NT4, and I'm convinced have avoided many a headache because of it. FAT is really antiquated technology by comparison. M$ got it right with NTFS.
