My TTS in Windows XP always worked, until I noticed it had stopped functioning today.
Now, in the Speech menu from Control Panel, in the Text To Speech tab, I tried previewing different voices that I have on my computer. All of them give me this error message:

"This voice cannot be played. Please try selecting another voice or selecting a different audio output device."

I have come to the conclusion that this was most likely caused by this: A few days ago I downloaded a program that allowed me to type something and then have the TTS read it back to me. I believe this problem originated after I uninstalled that program.

Ok, I think I figured out what I need to do. I need to reinstall the SAPI component. Now, this came with Windows so I assume it might be on a Windows CD or something, but I am unsure. Can anyone tell me how to reinstall my SAPI component?
