Firefox.exe calls dial-up dialler

    Hi, greetings from Wales

    If I have Firefox open, but not on-line it keeps hassling me, bringing up my dial-up dialler and requesting internet access every few minutes. I'm off-line 'cos I want to be and just want it to be quiet. Can't find any relevant options in Firefox or the dialler. Any ideas?

    Try File > Work Offline.

    You don't say what your OS is, but in Win XP, Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections tab, tick "Never dial a connection".
