VPN through Uni proxy?

    Just arrived in Japan. Internet access is acquired through a university proxy, followed by web-based login before being able to access anything. I'm looking to set up a VPN to a US IP (for Hulu, Netflix, etc), but have no idea what I'm doing. Anyone able to help?

    Hiding info about websites visited from the proxy would be a plus.
