Hi, can you help me create a copy protected audio cd?

Preferably using active protection rather than passive protection.

I have nero 12, but if other software will be more helpful in this regard, please advise. From my preliminary research thus far, I've read about using clone cd for this and editing the .ccd file.

The music companies gave up on that about 7 years ago because any copy protection they came up with was broken in a short period of time.

    Thanks for replying plodr.
So basically what you are saying is that there is currently no copy protection for audio cds.

    Yes.
Even Microsoft tells you how you can rip the songs from a music CD

I don't use WMP. I do use a program called FreeRIP to turn all the songs or just some of the songs from an audio CD into mp3 files. With the songs turned into mp3 files, I can either play them on my computer or copy them and listen to them on my mp3 players.
