FUD.EXE has stopped working

    Powered on my PC today and recieved follwing message.
    (FUD.EXE has stopped working. ) When I clicked ok just a Black screen. No Desktop. I am running AVG PRO and it DID find it and attempeted to remove it and still a Black screen. I am running Vista Prem and am using Ctr panel Run new task to access web. I have researched to my ability and found out I have something Nasty. I tried to reformat but Cannot get CD drive to work. When trying to use Task Mang command to run cd Task Mang stops Working. I dont know how to start CD from Command Prompt. Any assistance at all would be great. Thanks in advance for any help or direction at all.

    Using MGtools

    Have you by any chance tried to use System Restore to go back to a point in time before this problem occurred?
