Garage space, time and money permitting, which would you choose from the past and present? Classic Trans Ams had style, and the recent 300C Core seems to invoke the stripped down nature of the old Road Runner.:cool

If I had the money, I'd get my 1st car, an old 76 LTD and give it power and a modern radio/computer, etc.
On the inside, you can't beat those awesome bench seats in the car.
On the outside, you cant beat driving aroud in a huge steel case that causes all the modern lil plastic cars to get the heck outta your way.

Gonna be hard to beat "The California Kid" for hot rods in general.
Muscle cars only? How about the Mustang in the movie Bullitt?

Gotta be this one for me. Although, if I ever win the lottery it could be a toss up between that and a Chev Impala. ;)

My first car was a '71 Buick Skylark with the second smallest engine for that model year --- a 351 2 barrel. Wish I kept it after the differential dropped...youth...:cry

Looked almost exactly like this beater version:

Yeah, they sell a kit for that that a buddy of mine swears by but i opted to install the raxxiom halo halogen lights. I am keeping the originals though in case i get bored with the new ones and ill clean them up too.

The lighting on the halo ones are odd too, still not sure i like how they shine.

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu . . . my third (and all time favorite) passenger car. Wasn't an SS, but I was getting her there till some gal in a Chrysler New Yorker plowed into her while parked at my parents house.

Totaled my baby . . . high noon on a bright August day. Still don't see how it happened. Can't even find any pics of the car now. :( Here is a pic of one like her:

This makes me miss my Mustang GT. :( I loved that car, mostly the sound of it.

Currently own an '85 Trans Am (Code F). It's stock, under construction, and I do have a four bolt main 350 block, and heads from a 283.

They actually made a few 454 powered C3s going into 1975. Ok, they were weak compared to the earlier aluminum head 427 cars, but, it was the last of the big block Vettes, and I thought more of it than that evil creation Mark Hamill drove! The movie's plot was him trying to get it back, and my question is why?!:-D

This is why regular "Pony Cars" don't make it for me.
That is a perfect '68 LTD with the 428 and the Pantera with a 351 Cleveland, both on the street while I clean the garage. I had a '66 Chevelle SS 396 and sold it. I am on the prowl for a 427 Impala.
My friends with Shelbys, Corvettes and 'Cudas don't consider my cars "Pony Cars". What do you think? Same motor, just different bodies.
Old pic so don't bother looking up the plate.

Germany's answer to the Vette had 350 HP in 1995 as the 928 GTS.The eventual wrecking of the Porsche 928 in Risky Business was priceless! Seeing the movie again made me realise how much that car looked like a squashed Pacer, lol!
