New member of my family

    This little beauty had been abandoned or her owner died or something sad... we'd been feeding her for two weeks in the area where she was 'camping out' near Dad's house. Decided enough was enough, and brought her back home with us last night. If she wasn't happy with us we were going to rehome her again, but apparently... she has claimed us. :)

    I think she is just grey with a ever so slight tortoise shell pattern all over her which gives her the salt and pepper look. :)

    OK....

    We have now unravelled the mystery as to where she came from and what is happening. Where she came from, the neighbours got a dog and it scared the cat so she stayed just a little way from home and her owner has been feeding her, as have we and the man at the garage. Her owner is actually a friend of ours as it turns out. The dog is a big bull mastiff and she's been scared stiff bless her. If it weren't for that she would have been fine where she was.We have come to an arrangement though. We will keep her with us and our friend's daughter can come see her whenever she wants to. Her name is Misty. :)

    I could so easily become the "Crazy Cat Lady" if I found this on the doorstep. and my family did not intervene. If it is hungry I am going to feed it.

    Psssssh. If that cat had been able to trust her humans to provide competent backup, she'd have that mastiff terrified of her in seconds.

    Which only goes to prove that Misty clearly is better off with Kestrel. ;)

    Oh this cat is proving to be such a soothing influence on me. I'm always on a damn short fuse, and well, she's extremely calming. :)

    These two plus their brother were born in our house to a feral mother. She adopted us while waiting to have her young'uns. Had these two fixed. Left the other natural. Tigger and Panther. You can guess which is which.

    My friend has a cat named Misty. She's a tiger cat with swirls instead of stripes and she's super bad. lol

    Hopefully your misty is a little more behaved :-D

    There are very few things that are as relaxing as watching a cat gradually nod off to sleep. They start by getting comfortable... more or less pouring their body onto the surface they have chosen to sleep on. Then they start grooming, their paws, face, and flanks, systematically and very thoroughly. Once that is done they rearrange themselves a few times to reach maximum comfort, and yaaaaaaaawn. And then they settle down, their head slowly, slowly goes down to rest on a foreleg or pillow, and in another few seconds or so, they are asleep.

    Cats are good pets. :)

    @ Imandyman ... wow I used to grow up with two cats JUST like that... one marmalade, one black, called Ginner and Jumble. LOL

    @ Dya... She's a very well behaved kitty. She is extremely calm natured unless she's chasing a shoe lace LOL

    @Mimsy, that was lovely, written by a true cat lover. :) She's just chosen to squeeze onto my computer chair with me. :-D

    I do love my cats. Cats are lovely, and so very sweet and affectionate to those they care about. It's both sad and absolutely right that you have to have a cat before you really get to see that though.

    I love the way she wants contact all the time, When she falls asleep she likes to put a paw on me or her head on my leg. It's so cute LOL I am buying her a bed and a cat climb play thing, but at the moment she sleeps with me on my bed.
