Please read Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis again. And observe the below at the very top of the procedure:

Do not post a new HJT log yet (wait until you do all of the below) but make sure you stop using msconfig to control startups.

Note: You are using both Ares and Limewire. Both are know to come bundled with malware. You should uninstall both of these. While I do not recommend using any P2P programs (due to security issues with any of them), supposedly the new version of Limewire 4.9 (which you are not using) does not contain malware.

If you are using WinXP or WinMe, make sure you have system restore disabled (per the tutorial).
For all OS types, make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = c:\secure32.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = c:\secure32.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = c:\secure32.html
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Hkidsjs] C:\Program Files\Fewpivo\Zryis.exe
    O8 - Extra context menu item: Web Rebates. - file://C:\Program Files\WebRebates4\websrebates\webtrebates\toprC0.htm
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Uninstall BitDefender Online Scanner v8 - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file missing)
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.musicmatch.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.musicmatch.com (HKLM)
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: style32 - C:\WINDOWS\C:\WINDOWS\

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete
    :
    C:\Program Files\Fewpivo <--- the whole folder
    c:\secure32.html

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST). Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.

Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1) If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2) Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3) If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log. And tell us how things are working.

ok, everything went well. I had to delete a couple of processes on hijack this twice though.

    couple problems:

my background is all blue with a black box in the middle telling me that my computer is infected with spyware and that windows recommends using a spyware tool.

booting up windows took a good 10 minutes for everything to load...

when i go to "my computer" then "windows" there are a bunch of folders with all the same (or very similar) names: $NTUninstall.....

I think the comp is running better, but not near fixed. oh yea, i cannot set my homepage.. i seem to have the about:blank disease.. heh. i don't know what to do about that i just know it happened to a friends comp.

i attached my new hijackthis log, thanks for all the help.

$NTUninstall folders are all valid. They are from the patches (upgrades) you have installed from Microsoft.

You do not have an about blank hijacker problem. Just exactly what I said in my previous message (Now we need to Reset Web Settings:) and leave it set to www.majorgeeks.com as suggested until we finish with all fixes and then you can set it to whatever you want.

You did not uninstal Ares and Limewire so I have to assume you like malware?

Goto this link: SpySheriff (aka SpywareNo) Removal and run just step # 8.

    Now do the following:

    Fixing Locked Desktop
Also you should right click on your Desktop and select Properties. Then click the Desktop tab and then the Customize Desktop button. Now in the next window that comes up click the Web tab. Make sure at the bottom that Lock desktop items is unchecked. Then in the Web pages: box delete all items but My Current Home Page and make sure it is unchecked too. Then click OK. Apply. OK.

Run HJT and have it fix the below lines:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Security Hot Fix Update] "%SystemRoot%\mshotfix.exe"
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Shell] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00001.exe"

Exit HJT and Boot into safe mode and delete:
    c:\windows\system32\mshotfix.exe of c:\windows\mshotfix.exe

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log and let me know the results of above!

    Speed up tips:

    1) Do you use or need all that Viewpoint Media and Viewpoint Toolbar crap from AOL? If not then uninstall all the Viewpoint stuff.

    2) Do you need all the other AIM, Google Yahoo toolbar stuff? Uninstall any that you really do not use.

    3) Do you use this Disney DIGStream stuff? If not then uninstall.

    4) Do you use Windows Messenger? Most people do not and we can remove it if desired.

    5) This are not necessary and should be stopped from loading:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

    6) The below are not necessary to load but some people like them. Decide for yourself:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PCMService] "C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\PCMService.exe"
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MMTray] C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\Musicmatch Jukebox\mm_tray.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mmtask] C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\Musicmatch Jukebox\mmtask.exe
