unable to reconnize cartridge

    i have epsom rx 585 it will not recognize a cartridge.
    the printer was unused for about 3 months.:zzz

    check the contacts on the cartridge ... I'm not saying this is the issue but at a shop I used to work at, a lady opening a business bought a $1200 small Laser Printer, she also bought a spare cartridge for $380 (it was a colour Laser) ... went to install one of the cartridges and thought the contacts were part of the plastic you're supposed to rip off ... bucketload of money down the drain then.
