Check out these Registry entries (XP (Pro) )

    Start-->Run Regedit <enter>

    then go to
    HKEY_Current_USER
    ---->Software
    ----------->Microsoft
    ----------------------->Windows
    --------------------------------->Current Version
    ----------------------------------------->Internet Settings
    ------------------------------------------------>Zone Map
    ------------------------------------------------------->Domains

    Have a look at all the crap in there. I came across this while checking out CWS.GoogleMS.3 that Pest Patrol reported.

    In "Domains" there were at least 6 entries relating to Casino Gambling that I have never intentionally visited, plus other dodgy stuff.

    I backed up my Registry and deleted "Domains" and then re-created it.

    Warning, if you are not happy about stuffing around with your Registry, then don't.

    Make sure you have a backup of your Registry, immediately before editing any of this.

    PS: My PC is still operating as usual after deleting "Domains".
    No guarantee that yours will, though.

    Bazza those are added by the likes of SpywareBlaster and Spybot or similar to block those sites from loading into IE or alternative browser.

    Domains areas of the registry is the Blocked Allowed listings in IE, in this location you can check if they are blocked or allowed..... Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites and a list of blocked ones could look like this below from my PC.

    Just double check one of your security apps isnt adding these to protect you? I know the 1000s of entries in my list are added by Spywareblaster.

    Hey Bazza!
    Halo's right!
    I have 1000's of entries and they were no doubt added by Spyware Blaster and Spy Bot S&D plus a few from Spyware Guard, etc.
    Just to print the Domains branch of my registry would take 538 pages with 7 entries per page! :eek:

    Just to clarify that there are registry entries from software like Spyware Blaster and Spy Bot S&D so please do not remove and remember that the registry is for expert's only and if in doubt at any time then ask :)

    Don't delete these Registry entries (XP (Pro) )

    I should have thought this out a lot more carefully (and asked MG) before I did my stupid act. At least I did a full Registry backup just before deleting the "Domains". My only redeeming action. Bazza
